According to Forbes magazine, Taylor Swift, 34, has surpassed Rihanna as the world’s richest female musician with a net worth of approximately $1.6 billion.

Forbes revealed that Swift’s billionaire status, achieved in October 2023, was primarily attributed to the earnings from her sold-out global Eras tour and the value of her music catalog. She is the first musician to achieve billionaire status primarily through her songs and live performances. Swift’s estimated assets include $600 million from touring and royalties, $600 million from her catalog, and $125 million in real estate holdings.

Swift’s wealth places her at #2,117 on the Forbes list of the world’s billionaires, ahead of other female icons such as Dolly Parton ($450 million), Barbra Streisand ($460 million), Celine Dion ($550 million), Beyoncé ($760 million), Madonna ($850 million), and Rihanna ($1.4 billion).

Rihanna, now at #2,336 on the Forbes world list, has amassed a considerable fortune mainly from the success of her Fenty Beauty line and Savage x Fenty lingerie. At one point, Rihanna held the title of the richest female musician of all time when her net worth peaked at $1.7 billion.

With her new Forbes ranking, Swift secures the No. 2 spot on the list of richest musicians, trailing behind Jay-Z, whose value is estimated at around $2.5 billion. Swift is currently taking a break as she prepares for the final run of Eras Tour shows, which will resume on October 18 with a performance in Miami at Hard Rock Stadium.
